Infohub is a tool designed to facilitate businesses, organizations, and other groups in communicating information to selected target audiences. A common use case is for an employer to reach their employees with information, but the solution is also used for communication with partners and other stakeholders.
In the explanation below, we use the terms "employees" and "employer," but these can also refer to companies, organizations, partners, customers, and other target groups.
The key purposes of the solution are:
To provide employees with access to relevant information
To ensure that all employees have equal access to information from their employer
To make it easier for new employees to get to know the company
To allow employees to share insights from their workday
To enable employees to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement
To give the employer an overview of how well information is being communicated and who might be missing out
The specific purposes may vary from company to company. If you want more information about how your employer uses the solution, contact the responsible editor. If you are unsure who is responsible at your employer, you may contact Appfabrikken AS at privacy@appfabrikken.no.
User-Generated Content Guidelines
In several areas of the solution, you as a user have the opportunity to post content. This may include comments on articles and other users' posts, your own posts with text, images, and videos, as well as conversations (chats) with other users.
By using this application, you agree to the following terms regarding content and behavior:
- You agree not to post or share content that is harassing, discriminatory, violent, pornographic, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate or illegal. This includes, but is not limited to, threats, hate speech, bullying, privacy violations, or sharing protected material without permission.
- You are fully responsible for all content you post or share in the app, including text, images, videos, and comments. You confirm that you have the necessary rights to publish the content and that it does not infringe on others' copyrights, privacy, or other rights.
- We reserve the right to review, moderate, or remove content that violates these terms. In case of repeated or severe violations, we may take actions such as temporarily or permanently suspending your user account.
- If you encounter inappropriate or illegal content or users behaving in a threatening or harassing manner, we encourage you to report this immediately via our reporting functions. We will then investigate the matter and take necessary action.
Sharing, Storage, and Retention of Information
By using the app, you agree that the information you choose to enter in the app will be shared with your employer, the technical provider of the solution, and potentially all users of the app (other employees and possibly others granted access to the solution). This may include:
Comments you write, for example, on a news article
Images and comments you post on the app's open wall. By using the open wall, you give your employer permission to use these images publicly, including on social media, in website articles, brochures, annual reports, and similar publications.
Likes
Forms you submit
Profile pictures and other changes to your profile
Your responses to internal surveys (questions asked in the app where you have the opportunity to respond)
Your responses to quizzes and more comprehensive surveys in the app
Other information you provide in the app
By using the app, you agree that the following information will be stored, processed, and shared with your employer, technical provider, and the responsible editors of the app:
Your name, contact information, and details about your position in the company (this information is typically already entered by your employer). Your contact information will be available to all app users via a phone directory. If you wish to opt out of being listed in the phone directory, either partially or completely, contact the responsible editor. This may be relevant if you do not want your phone number or email address to be visible.
Content you choose to publish in the app, as mentioned above
Your activity in the app, including when you use it, which articles you open, which buttons you click, and which messages you read
Information about your device (operating system, version, IP address, etc.)
In some cases, your location may also be tracked, for example, if the app has functionality for "finding the nearest..."
The purpose of tracking your activity in the app includes:
Providing your employer with an overview of how often the app is used and who is using it, to identify employees or groups missing information
Allowing your employer to see who has read, and who has not read, specific articles, enabling reminders for important information
Following up on employees who have not been active in the app for a certain period or have never logged in
Please note that tracking of activity also applies to app editors. If you are an editor for all or part of the app, your activity will also be stored, processed, and shared with the employer and technical provider. The purpose includes:
Identifying the most active editors
Detecting outdated content and sending reminders to keep information up to date
Understanding which features are most used and how editors utilize the solution
The content you enter in the app and your activity remain stored even after your employment ends. This is because the information may still be relevant for your employer and other employees. For example, incident reports or other important information may need to remain documented. If you wish to have information deleted, this must be discussed with the responsible editor, who will decide on deletion on a case-by-case basis.
If you have any questions, contact the responsible editor for your employer’s app, or reach out to Appfabrikken AS at privacy@appfabrikken.no.
The information in this document supplements the terms already accepted during the installation of the app from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or similar platforms. In case of conflict, this text takes precedence.
